Formerly the owner of his own full service real estate brokerage firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, Al has also served as Senior Vice President of The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Fred Sands REALTOR® which was the fifth largest independent brokerage company in the United States.

Al is past President and Chairman of the Board of the REALTORS NATIONAL MARKETING INSTITUTE and past President of the Real Estate Brokerage Manager’s Council, as well as past member of the RNMI Board of Directors and Management Team. Al is past President of the Cincinnati Board of REALTORS® and has chaired or served on almost all the committees on the local and state level. He is a past chairman of numerous NAR committees and has served on the Executive Committee, as well as being a NAR Director.

Al has been honored as both Cincinnati and Ohio Associate and REALTOR® of the Year. He has been honored as the Instructor of the Year for large states by the National Association of REALTORS® and, subsequently, as the Educator of the Year by NAR. He was also presented with the first Golden Eagle Award for being outstanding instructor of the CRB faculty.

Al holds Master Instructor status on The Managers Council faculty. He was technical advisor for the book Real Estate Office Management; People Functions and Systems and editor of the book Readings In Management For The Real Estate Executive. He has spoken in all 50 states, as well as foreign countries, including being the key note speaker at three FIABCI (international real estate) conferences, and has served as a consultant and a coach to real estate firms throughout the world.

Mark Martin has been selling real estate since 1999, when he acquired his license in Florida. Preceding his real estate career, he spent 17 years in senior level management positions in several Fortune 500 companies.

In 2000, Mark and his family moved to Austin, TX and he began his quest to become a household name in Austin real estate. In his first year in the business, he closed over $10.0 Million in production, and was named Rookie of the Year for Coldwell Banker. After 2 years with Coldwell Banker, he transitioned to RE/MAX, and has been affiliated with RE/MAX ever since. He is a RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame member, and has held numerous awards throughout the years, including 100% club, Platinum Club, Chairman’s Club and most recently, Diamond Club.

It has not all been a bed of roses however, in 2007 the real estate market plummeted, and Mark had to resort to outside employment to continue to put food on the table. In January of 2011, with nothing, and at rock bottom, he started over in real estate. Going back to the basics of cold calling, door knocking, and open houses, he was able to close over $10 Million again in production. In 2012, he began building a team, and together they closed $18 Million in production, and in 2013 he hired Dirk Zeller with Real Estate Champions to help coach his team to even higher levels of production.

In 2013, the team closed $32 Million in production, and generated just shy of $1.0 Million in GCI. The team consisted of 2 buyer’s agents, and Mark’s business partner, Russell Martinez.

Mark moved to Phoenix in 2014, with his 17 year old son who was pursuing his dream of playing college baseball and potentially a career in the MLB. Mark ran his team in Austin virtually for 6 months, continuing to lead generate, close transactions, and oversee daily operations from afar. The team’s production dipped slightly to just over $800,000 in GCI without Mark physically being in Austin. As the saying goes, “while the cat’s away…”.

Mark’s son was successful in being offered a college baseball opportunity and Mark moved back to Austin in late 2014. 2015 Production exceeded $35 Million and over $1.0 Million in GCI. Mark’s team now consists of 3 Buyer’s Agents, 1 full time licensed assistant who handles transaction and listing management and 1 listing specialist. 2016 and 2017 saw steady growth to north of $40MM in production and $1.25MM in GCI and in the 4th Quarter of 2017, Mark launched a National Referral Network that uses Zillow leads to power referral opportunities in over 25 Markets across the U.S. The Referral Network, knows as “Mark Martin & Co.” has closed over $20MM in the first 6 months and has just over 30 member agents who must hit strict production targets in order to stay in the group.

Mark prides himself on being able to work 20 hours a week, not work Friday, Saturday, or Sundays, take 2 months a year off from the business and still generate the high income levels that he enjoys.

Mark was named the President of Real Estate Champions in April of 2017 and oversees the Sales Team, and works closely with Dirk Zeller to continuously provide up to date and relevant content and resources for their coaching clients.

Brett Baker was born and raised in Southern California and currently resides in Tri-Cities Washington. Growing up in a family where real estate was spoken around the dinner table, he soaked up knowledge about the industry for almost 25 years. Watching his Dad, a successful real estate broker, own and manage multiple franchises had Brett hooked on real estate; he just didn’t know it until he was older. Swearing that he wouldn’t follow in his dad’s footsteps, Brett paved his own path in the aviation community. He’s a type rated pilot in airplanes, helicopters, and hot air balloons, and was an Air Traffic Controller at a few of the busiest airports in the United States.

Brett is a serial entrepreneur with a background in web and print marketing. His success comes from utilizing technology to develop systems and build processes. He took the jump into the world of real estate because he felt that the Real Estate industry was stale, boring, and lacking true creativity. He built an incredibly successful team in Washington State, and coined the phrase “Boldly Different” because he wanted to set the new standard for agents.

Brett is a marketing guru and excels at creating extremely effective and valuable marketing campaigns that get noticed. He took the real estate industry by storm with his pink branding and his guerilla marketing tactics, garnering national attention in the real estate industry. He is the DEFINITION of cutting edge in real estate; utilizing tools, systems, and methods that are not available to anyone but his team. In fact, he has been the beta tester for more than 100 real estate products that are not even released to the public.

Outside of real estate, Brett is an extreme sports addict. Ironman Triathlons, big mountain skiing, rock climbing, open water long distance swimming, and waterskiing are just a couple of the many ways Brett spends his “free time.” He is also the owner of a whole flock of dogs and is currently banned from the local rescue shelter because he has adopted the limit of canine companions.

Courtney Oldham-105

Courtney has been an entrepreneur since high school when she raised begonia plants and sold them to a local nursery. She graduated from college at the height of the dotcom era and played key roles in the creation of several start-up companies in the food and technology industries. That time was challenging but probably the most influential in her career as it proved that ideas become companies that make a difference in the world. Courtney created technology solutions, secured patents, wrote private placement memorandums, and was part of the pitch team that took ideas to venture capitalists. Those fast and furious experiences proved to be an excellent training ground for business ownership.

In 2004, Courtney founded the Oldham Group in Austin, Texas.  She jumped into real estate with both feet and quickly landed a 270-unit condo development project. It was a gigantic opportunity filled with highs and lows. The market correction took place in the middle of pre-construction sales, so those once optimistic buyers who had put down condo reservations slowly started to retreat. While it was a tough time, it was full of powerful lessons which fueled the rest of her career.  In those early times, Courtney was also very disciplined in holding two open houses a weekend, not only to gain clients but to learn the unique details of each Austin neighborhood giving her in-depth market knowledge quickly.  The hard work paid off because at the end of her first year, she was named the Rookie of the Year in the largest residential real estate office in the world.

Courtney has been a standout in Austin real estate for many years. In 2018, she was recruited by Compass Real Estate to be one of the very first agents in founding the Austin office. She knew this would be an amazing opportunity to help create a collaborative culture of high-achieving agents. In 2018, she was awarded by the Austin Business Journal as the #15 agent with over $29 Million in production. She is a multiple-year recipient of the Platinum Top 50 Award. In addition to sales production, this award also takes into account education, industry participation, and civic leadership.  She hosts several workshops a year for industry professionals on work-life balance, knowing your numbers, and database marketing.

While it’s nice to be recognized, Courtney’s greatest accomplishments are the lifelong relationships she has developed with thousands of clients and friends. The bulk of her business is referral-based and that comes from a constant commitment to staying relevant to her clients and showing gratitude for their business and referrals. She started the Closings the Care program in 2017 that makes a charitable donation on behalf of her clients at closing.

Courtney is married to Brett, her business partner. They have two children, Cade (18) and Rylee (16). They live on a 6-acre ranch just Southwest of Austin and enjoy traveling, skiing, music festivals, showing livestock, and the Texas Hill Country.

Michael Wheeler grew up in Eugene, Oregon where he graduated from North Eugene High School. He later moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1999. Michael is a single father of two children, and since beginning his real estate career just over 7 years ago, has had more time with his family and able to enjoy the things he loves to do, while doing hundreds of transactions as a solo agent and establishing a stable, steady real estate career.

Michael values the power of education and real estate market knowledge. These are the areas that he focuses his time and the sharing of this knowledge. He provides high quality service, along with great problem-solving skills. He is driven; with a winning personality and plays to win. Although he may have a bold, direct approach, his way of teaching is sought by his clients and other agents around him because he helps them accomplish their goals, wants, and needs. He understands people and how to give direction in all different angels in the real estate industry. The most important thing for Michael is that he is always building a long-term relationship. He doesn’t see a short term to his efforts; it’s always long-term and never ending. A successful day is a day that ends with a win.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling and seeing new things. One of his most favorite places to visit is San Diego where he spends time on the beach and on the open waters of the ocean, deep sea fishing.
